We are pleased to welcome Roy Cain who will be filling the position of Acting Dean in the Faculty of Social Sciences from January 1st, 2011 until June 30th, 2011. Cain comes to us from his faculty position in the School of Social Work here at McMaster, where he has been for more than 20 years. From 1999-2006, he served as the Director of the Health Studies program, which is now part of the Department of Health, Aging & Society.
Cain is proud to be a part of both the Faculty of Social Sciences and the McMaster community as a whole. He has always appreciated the collegial atmosphere at McMaster, as well as the many opportunities for interdisciplinary research and teaching. “McMaster is a large enough to create a vibrant and diverse university environment, but small enough to create the great sense of community.”
Welcome, Roy!
